Forest Grove Kindergarten
Outdoor play and learning all year round come rain or shine for children between the ages of 3 and 5. Our Forest School is a fully outdoor classroom, which encourages nature based learning, learning through play and lots of movement.
Forest School activities include wood work; den building; building a bug hotel; nature watching; foraging; fire-making; cooking on fire; roaming (walking through nature and into the Marches and Nature Reserves); nature based arts & crafts using natural materials; making bird feeders and nest boxes; using ropes and rope swings; learning about being sustainable; mud kitchen and jumping in muddy puddles!

Whilst based in South Millfields Park, we regularly roam to nearby nature reserves, Hackney Marshes and other natural wildlife areas.
Our child led learning approach develops resilience, self-confidence and happy children who have a natural curiosity and appetite for learning.

Forest Grove Holiday Club
Pure outdoor fun and adventures for children. Our Forest School team will share their passion for nature and bio-diversity. Children will learn through play and discover how to use tools, making and lighting fires and lots of nature-based art and crafts.
Monday to Friday: 9:00 – 15:00
Suitable for ages 5-8 (Kindergarten members can attend once settled)
Priority booking for Kindergarten members

Forest Grove Nature Club
Our Nature Club for 2 year olds meet every Friday morning accompanied by an adult to experience Forest School with a Forest School Leader. The children will be able to roam freely in an enclosed area whilst having outdoor fun and adventures. The Forest School leader will provide opportunities for nature-based art and craft, playing with mud and introduce tools. There will be opportunities to experience a fire and some cooking on fire.
The Nature Club is a great introduction for children and parents who are interested in the Forest School Kindergarten. Children who attend the Nature Club often settle quickly at the Kindergarten.
Please note: Children must be accompanied by an adult

Forest Grove After School Club
The After School Clubs are for children in Reception , Year 1 and Year 2 . The children will be taught how to use tools safely, learn how to build and light a fire as well as plenty opportunities to make nature-based art and craft, climb trees, build rope bridges and lots more. Priority booking is offered to ex-Kindergarten members upon leaving Forest Grove.
Please note: We offer a pick-up service from Millfields Community School at 15.30
Ages: Reception, Year 1 and Year 2
Wednesdays: 16:00 – 18:00
Term Time only (Seasonal)
All sessions start and end in South Millfields Park, although we may roam to nearby nature beauty spots.
